We retired in 2019 for health reasons after deciding to leave stress-filled jobs behind and seek a healthier lifestyle. Stan retired as a sergeant in law enforcement after serving for over 27 years.
Rhonda was a stay-at-home mom for many years and retired from a Human Resources position at the local school district. We raised four kids who are all grown, married off and starting families of their own.
When we realized they were all settled, it was time for us to make a move. We decided to put our family home in Big Bear Lake, California on the market in May of 2019 and two months later we were packed up, retired and moving to Lake Havasu City, Arizona. We traded the snow for the heat!

We purchased our new trailer in April of 2024 after upgrading from a 2021 Grand Design 2500RL travel trailer. After 3 1/2 years and 37,000 miles in the Imagine we decided to upgrade because we loved being on the road. We wanted to go farther and longer so we decided to buy something a little bigger, a little more like a home away from home.
We now own a 2024 Grand Design Influence 2903RL fifth wheel. It’s the perfect couples trailer for the two of us traveling a little more than part-time with our dog, Molly.
Our new Influence is a perfect fit for our needs!
The inspiration behind our name Over The Hill Adventures is because of Rhonda’s Dad, Charlie, and his love for mountain biking and being active.
At the age of 77 we rode our mountain bikes with him, recorded the ride to memorialize the adventure and decided to share it on YouTube and our “Over The Hill Adventures” YouTube channel was born.
Our channel has grown and now we love sharing our RV travel adventures, our biking and hiking adventures, travel tips and how-to’s.
